The Wine Merchant Top 100 winner
On the nose, juicy pear, apple and pineapple are complemented by notes of lemon zest and lime, alongside delicate wildflower aromas. The palate shows a ripe, high-quality grape-driven structure with vibrant, harmonious acidity, a creamy texture, and a citrusy, mineral character. A touch of residual sugar gently rounds the wine, creating an elegant balance in the signature Gizella style.

DRY WHITE WINE WITH A PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN
Varieties: 100% Furmint

The red clay and rhyolite tuff soils of the Bomboly vineyard in Mád produce Furmint at an altitude of 250 metres on a west-facing slope. The wine is intensely mineral, while the variety serves as a perfect interpreter of this exceptional terroir. Notes of pear and apple, the subtle spice of new French oak, and the minerality of Bomboly come together to shape this terroir-driven wine, which is expected to possess outstanding ageing potential.

„It’s bright gold in colour, with ample honeyed fruits lent complexity by the intrigue of botrytis. On the palate, it is thick-textured and sweet, with a delicate grape-acid balance but with those botrytis notes bringing both structure and complexity all the way through the palate to a long, crème-anglaise-rich finish.” by DWWA judges

„Brimming with pineapple, mangosteen, ripe star fruit and floral honey, this is still very youthful and tightly wound on the gigantically concentrated palate. The vibrant acidity lights the tropical-fruit character like a fireworks display does the night sky. Enormously dense yet precisely delineated finish. Very limited production. Decades of life ahead of it. Drinkable now, but best from 2025.” by Stuart Pigott
